The return window
- Most Kohl's merchandise: 90 days from purchase. Paid with a Kohl's Card? 120 days.
- Premium electronics and watches: 30 days, with original packaging and a valid receipt or account lookup.
- Mattresses and Sephora at Kohl's purchases: 30 days, with a valid receipt or account lookup.
- Baby registry items: up to 365 days with a gift receipt or original receipt.
Holiday returns (2026)
- Kohl's merchandise bought October 4 – December 30, 2026 can be returned through January 31, 2027 — including premium electronics, watches, jewelry and mattresses.
- Sephora at Kohl's purchases made October 30 – December 30, 2026 can be returned through January 31, 2027.
When the clock starts
- In-store purchases: the purchase date.
- Shipped online orders: the ship date.
- Buy Online Pick Up in Store and Ship to Store: the date the order is ready for pickup.
No receipt?
- Most returns are accepted with or without a receipt. Kohl's can look it up by order number, Kohl's Rewards account, credit card or the return barcode in the Kohl's app.
- If it can't find the purchase, you get Kohl's Merchandise Credit for the lowest sale price in the past 13 weeks. Photo ID may be required.
Can't be returned
- Beverages, opened or unsealed breast pumps and accessories, trading cards, and blind box items/toys.
Mail returns
- Online purchases can go back by mail, but you pay postage — Kohl's doesn't provide prepaid labels. Store purchases go back to a store.
- Freight-delivered (Threshold) items have a 15% restocking fee unless defective.
